Which? the so called consumers guide ran an article warning people to watch out for will writing scams. We hope the article helped many people avoid the scam artists and hopefully the scammers will have left our industry now. Like all industries some people always want to try and cheat consumers; we don’t want them as it leaves a sour taste in the mouths of those scammed and those in the industry doing a pretty fine job.
If you think about it logically, a will writer isn’t going to spend money marketing, come out to your home, spend an hour in your home discussing your thoughts, take your will instructions, then leave to write your will and return to you to get it signed and witnessed for less than twenty pounds?
It’s said that these scammers target those more easily taken in, the elderly and people on low incomes; those who are less likely to know of professional will writing companies or legal paperwork.
LSUK are a large company with qualified professionals who will always make prices clear to you before any paperwork is completed, let alone signed.
If you’d like to look over the Which? advice, it’s at this website:

If ever you’re not sure, contact your local trading standards office or the Society of Will Writers, the official body who oversee our instruction takers and will writers.
Be safe, be sure. Ask questions until you’ll 100% happy. Professionals will be pleased to answer all your questions, scammers won’t want to waste their time.
