Paul Raymond died in March of 2008 aged 82. He’s been described as a pornography tycoon and a property magnate. Whatever his former occupations, he’s left most of his estate to his daughters while son Howard has missed out.
The two girls, Fawn James (22) and half sister India Rose (17) are his grandchildren from his daughter Debbie, who died in 1992.
His secretary, Marie Todman gets £10,000.
While Howard will feel left out, Raymond’s daughters Cheyanne (24) and Boston (22) were also left without anything at all. It would appear that he decided to skip a generation and pass it all on to his grandchildren.
Son Howard is now 47 and fell out with his father some time back and was trying (apparently and allegedly) to form reconciliation with his father. He says he visited his father every ten days for the last twelve years of his life.
Surprisingly, his estate left £74.5 million, much less than the £650 million that some claimed, given the property empire in London.
The will states that the two granddaughters will receive £150,000 when they are twenty-one with the remainder being held in trust until they’re twenty-five, when they get to become very rich ladies, financially.
They’ll need some very serious financial advice very soon and again when they’re of age when the trust ends.
We hope they’ve taken advice and written their own wills. You can never be too young to write your will, provided you’re over 18 and not in the armed forces.
